Course Summary

Double Dog Dare Challenge

Dr. Beth has started the Double Dog Dare Challenge! She is Double Dog Daring you to shine brighter and step into your greatness, to use your gifts and talents, to become leaders that lift others and make the world a better place. And she’s Double Dog Daring you to invite others to play with the Double Dog Dare energy by challenging them to shine brighter and be their greatness.

Dr. Beth is putting together an archive of video recordings from the Double Dog Dare Challenge. These videos are playful, experiential, real-time examples of parents and teens playing games that Dr. Beth has set up with her “10 Keys to Compassionate Parenting” principles. These are fun, informative videos showing what gets naturally stirred up between parents and teens. By seeing “our stuff” without being fully attached to it and without hurting someone we are emotionally attached to, we can work through blocks and create better communication and healthier relationships with our children.

The Double Dog Dare Challenge and the Video Archive are created to make space for us as parents and people to shine, and to invite others – including the next generation – to shine!

What is a Double Dog Dare?
It IS daring someone to shine and be their greatness.
It’s not daring someone to hurt themselves or hurt another person.
It IS really looking at someone and seeing what might bring them more joy.
It’s not making fun of someone and laughing at their expense.
It IS finding someone hiding out with their gifts and talents and daring them to fly.
It’s not about getting someone to do something for you.
It IS about being the wings beneath someone you love and championing them to take flight.
It’s not about “compare and despair.”
It IS making this world a better place by becoming a leader that lifts others.
It’s not about needing people to need you, lift you or become dependent on you.
It IS about giving up being the super hero of someone else’s life and letting others be their own best leader and super star in their own right.

Who Can Play?
Parents: Double Dog Dare your teens to try something that will make their life better, then let them take charge. Let them make their choices and live their dreams. And whatever you ask of them, see if it also applies to you.

Teens: Don’t just do what your parents say—Double Dog Dare them to shine! Keep encouraging them with love. You might find that what you want them to do could be your own goal too.

Friends: Dare your friends to do something you know they’d love if they had a little push. Let them give you a dare in return and support each other. Mentors and Coaches: Challenge your clients to grow faster, become leaders, and pass on their knowledge by mentoring others. Encourage them to be a leader of leaders. Husbands, Wives,

Partners: Double Dog Dare each other to live your dreams and help each other along the way. Work together to create the life you both want and support each other fully.

Men and Women: Men, dare women to lead themselves and stop waiting for others to do it. Women, challenge men to value love and relationships over being right or winning. Work together to create understanding and growth.

Seniors: Challenge younger generations to dream big and help them achieve it. Ask if they want and are ready to hear your ideas. Then, share your wisdom and experience along the way.

Children: Dare your parents and adults to live their purpose and share their life’s wisdom with you.

How do I “Let the Next Generation Shine”?

10 Days of Double Dog Dares:
Lift someone up who you care about. If you know someone has a talent or a way to improve their life, community, or the world, give them a Double Dog Dare. Inspire them to be the best version of themselves. Remember, if someone dares you, it's okay to say no if you don’t feel safe.

The goal is to help everyone feel safe and secure as they take on their challenge. Set people up to win, be honest, and feel fabulous! Invite others to shine, and watch them soar!
